This project is dedicated to the investigation of the collaborative aspect of video production and editing. Video production usually involves multiple people of various skills and backgrounds: directors, editors, sound producers, etc. Collaboration and coordination of their work are crucial to video’s success. In this project, we study how collaborators coordinate their efforts and organise their communication via various media: face-to-face, email, social media platforms and instant messaging services.

The current focus of the project is the feedback which co-authors give to each other, directors to editors and customers to producers. We study how this feedback is communicated and processed. The cornerstone of the video feedback is timecode - almost every piece of commentary needs to be timecoded and to refer to a specific second or frame in the timeline.
